Hello, this is the beginning of my blogging during the start of my full-time contract work at the Seneca Centre for Development of Open Technology (CDOT). I have only blogged a bit before during my first year at Seneca, but stopped it prematurely due to personal laziness. What changed is that this is required.

First day of work, I learned that Seneca USBs don't work properly (as in I can't get them to work as LiveUSBs) and that I should use the dd linux command (as opposed to the default 'Disk Image Writer' application) when creating a live USB of Fedora 21 as suggested by my colleagues because 'Disk Image Writer' is more prone to problems.
